Making Bikes Changing Lives - update

Morroco Quick Update Wow, big thanks to everyone who has donated so far. We got an amazing response. We really mean it, your all really sound and very generous. For those who said they would and haven't had the chance, there is still time you can donate  here. And, by the way we've raised over €3000 from people that where at the Blooms Day event ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ™ we are up to €6500 which is amazing.  Well the update is ๐Ÿ‘‰ we've had 4 sessions preparing the group to go. ➡️We did a cultural awareness session ➡️a language session ➡️young people also learned some of the cultural do's and don'ts ➡️We learned a bit about where we are going and the local reality for the young people we will be helping  ➡️ We learned some common phrases in french and Arabic ➡️And we did 2 movie making sessions on Gang Grooming Gang Grooming ๐Ÿค” why ⁉️ Something you may not be aware of. Where we are located there is numerous very real and dangers and challenges for our young people to overcome.

What’s the maddest thing your planning to do this summer๐ŸŒž Well on the 24th of august 2019, here’s what we want to do. 8 young people and their leaders from Inchicore who learn and work on bikes in our bike skills workshop are going to Morocco.  We’re gonna build bikes with Moroccan street kids, teaching them how to build, maintain and repair bikes.  Ya wha๐Ÿค”  Yes, we want to bring 8 young people from our bike project up to the edge of the western Sahara and the Atlas Mountains to teach Moroccan kids about bikes. And, what's really exciting some of our young people have never been out of Ireland. But we’re not going on a holiday, it will be hot, there will be big bugs, snakes and scorpions. Every taste, smell, sight and noise will be new.  Young people will be stepping out of their comfort zone (and let’s be honest some of our lads are traumatised on the other side of the M50).
